At work, the tests have considerably less effectiveness in predicting the work performance but high scorers tend to get high paying and more prestigious jobs than the low scorers. The longer people work at job and the more experienced the get the better they become and the correlations of IQ and achievement decrease. The single IQ number can be easily lead to false expectations. People also tend to form generalizations on the basis of an IQ score, leading to false expectations.

Example: A student gets a low score an IQ test and the teacher that day onwards thinks it is useless to spend much time with him and ignores him to prefer the high scoring ones these tests do have limitations but are widely used in schools, colleges and professional environments, to be effective they must be used along with other information about an individual.

It is not the ultimate human value.
